Types of Grants
PFF awards three types of grants
Small | Core | Transformational
Grants are Awarded in One of Two Ways
- To build an organization’s capacity to achieve more significant impact or effectiveness
- To deliver or increase direct services to their constituency
For the latter, these grants can be either unrestricted or restricted to a particular program or project. The type of grant and what it is used for will dictate the goals and objectives to be met.
-
Small Grants
Small Grants may help establish new relationships, allowing PFF to learn more about how well an organization's goals align with our own and possibly elevate our support level. Grantee partners may reapply after two years.
- Unrestricted General Operating Support
- Grassroots organizations with budgets up to $1MM
- One-time award
- Streamlined Application - LOI, followed by an interview, and, if warranted, a site visit

-
Core Grants
Core Grants may help establish new relationships, allowing PFF to learn more about how well an organization's goals align with our own and possibly elevate our level of support. Core partnerships may be extended or renewed at the board's discretion. Otherwise, the Grantee partner may reapply after two years.
